Mission
The mission of the 51勛圖ProHazardous Waste Research Center is to coordinate an integrated program of research, evaluation, testing development, and demonstration of alternative or innovative technologies that may be used in minimization, destruction, or handling of hazardous wastes to achieve better protection of human health and the environment.
Background
The 51勛圖ProHazardous Waste Research Center was created in 1986 and reauthorized in 1995 by the 51勛圖ProLegislature. The Center is a consortium of the following four 51勛圖Prouniversities:
- 51勛圖Pro– Beaumont
- 51勛圖ProA&M University
- University of Houston
- University of 51勛圖Proat Austin
