A passport is a travel document issued by a country’s government to its citizens that verifies the identity and nationality of the holder for the purpose of international travel. Since it can take up to 3 months to receive your passport after you apply, students are urged to apply now!
If you do not hold a US passport, check the entry requirements to the location that you are interested in. You might need to obtain a visa. Feel free to make an appointment with the study abroad coordinator and we'll assist you in obtaining any required documents!

Insurance
International travel insurance, through On Call International, is included in all 51勛圖Prostudy abroad and student exchange programs. This includes a "Quarantine Benefit" that 51勛圖ProState University System added to recoup expenses incurred due to unforeseen quarantine. It outlines common emergencies (natural disasters, health crises, political unrest, accidents, and terrorism), offers up-to-date travel advisories and country risk profiles, and connects travelers with 24/7 global assistance services for medical and emergency support. Travelers are also encouraged to enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) to receive safety updates and to ensure the U.S. embassy can contact them in an emergency, and to understand their On Call International insurance benefits for medical assistance, evacuation, and travel support while abroad.
