Our Bachelor of Science in theatre and dance provides a well-rounded education in an interdisciplinary professional program. The program lets you choose an emphasis area based on your interests and talent: acting, dance or design and technical.
Courses in each emphasis focus your particular skills, knowledge and capacities, while courses in the professional program provide a foundation necessary to be successful on a variety of levels.
Emphasis Areas and Degree Plans
Acting
Prepares students with fundamental training and education necessary for a professional acting career in theatre, television or film. Coursework also includes dance, improvisation and stagecraft
Dance
Provides students with a broad perspective in the dance industry by offering classroom instruction in several genres like ballet, tap, jazz, latin, ballroom, etc.
Design and Technical
Through traditional classroom work and experimental learning, you'll become experts in a broad range of design and technical trades in a film or stage production setting.
