Student Ambassadors
About the Program
The College of Education & Human Development Ambassadors are a group of undergraduate students who represent COEHD and our three undergraduate departments.
Student Ambassadors assist in several ways including:
- Representing COEHD at community events
- Assisting COEHD in recruitment efforts
- Working academic open houses and new student orientations
- Participating in various COEHD panels
- Serving on the Undergraduate Advisory Council

Ambassador Requirements
- Must be at least a sophomore (>30 hours)
- Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
- Must be a current undergraduate student in COEHD
- Must be enthusiastic and display a positive attitude about COEHD and Lamar University
- Must be able to volunteer a minimum of 10 service hours each semester
- Must be available to attend
- COEHD ambassador orientation
- Monthly Ambassador meetings
- Must be available to volunteer at
- At least one new student orientation during the summer
- Spring and fall Cardinal Views
- Is expected to volunteer for department tours, college fairs, and/or community events throughout the academic year.
