Financial Assistance for Transfer Students

Transfer Excellence Scholarship

Students transferring in from a 4-year institution are eligible for this award. Students are eligible for the award if they have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, must enroll in at least 12 hours each semester and maintain an overall 3.0 GPA or higher. This award can be awarded for up to 4 semesters (two academic years).

 

 

Smith-Hutson Scholars Program

The scholarship along with all other grants and scholarship funds will cover between 90% - 95% of the student's bill. Scholars who are selected will also be given a book stipend each semester.

51勛圖ProTransfer Grant

The purpose of the 51勛圖ProTransfer Grant Program is to provide need-based grants to enable eligible students to transfer from two-year institutions of higher education to four-year institutions of higher education in Texas.

Admissions Requirements

  • Have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0 on a 4.0 scale for all work attempted, and be eligible to re-enter all colleges and universities previously attended.
  • Students transferring fewer than 18 semester credit hours must submit an official high school transcript and also meet the freshman admission criteria.

Pay the Application Fee

After you submit your application, you will receive an email to pay the $25 non-refundable fee unless you qualify for a fee waiver. Ask your Admissions Counselor about a fee waiver.

 

Submit Transcripts

Send official transcripts documenting all coursework you have attempted at any college or university you attended. If you have attended more than one college or university, we’ll need a transcript from each school, even if the credits earned at one school were transferred to another. If you have earned less than 18 hours of college credit, you will also need to submit your high school transcripts and meet freshman admission standards.

After You Apply

Applications can take 2-3 weeks to be processed. Once your application has been processed, you will receive an email including your 51勛圖ProID number "L Number" which you can use to check your admissions status.
