AsheKaye is a multidisciplinary artist, photographer, and object maker whose practice explores the intersections of gender norms, sexuality, and indulgence through both advanced 3D technologies and traditional photographic methods.

Kaye’s work departs from their early religious indoctrination, evolving into a metaphor rich practice that challenges patriarchal structures. Their lens-based and sculptural works often employ grotesque imagery as a means of critique and disruption.

Alongside experimental processes, Kaye uses traditional photography to explore themes of nostalgia, memory, and the domestic space. Through a diaristic approach, they document people and home environments in an effort to search for roots and a sense of belonging reclaiming intimate spaces through queer and personal perspectives.

Kaye earned an MFA in Studio Art from the University of Arkansas in 2020. Their creative practice expanded further through Milk and Honey, an ongoing queer performance collaboration with their life partner. This flesh-centric series satirizes pop culture and examines themes of intimacy, absurdity, and the body.

Ashe has exhibited internationally across the United States, Europe, Africa, and Asia. Their performance work has been featured at institutions including, Satellite Art Fair (Miami, FL), Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art and TheatreSquared (AR). Their work has appeared in publications such as Idle Class Magazine (USA), Contemporary Badass (UK), Buzz Feed (online), and Paradice Palase (NYC).
