Approval of April minutes, May - vote held via email approve notes, No June items. July items and August items moved to September.

Call to order: 3:35 PM
1. Introductions
Members introduced themselves.
Kyle provided an update on the new Director of Curriculum & Accreditation, Andrea Stephenson.
Andrea was unable to attend but sent information, which was shared with the committee.
Shelly will also email the information to members.
2. Chair Update
Dr. Jator asked for a volunteer to serve as Co-Chair.
No volunteers or nominations were received.
Dr. Jator will continue to chair until further notice.
UUCC Fall Meetings: The committee will review future meeting times, especially those falling when the university is closed or when faculty are not on campus.
3. Approval of Minutes
Lucy Tsado motioned to approve the April and May minutes.
The motion carried unanimously.
4. New Program Proposals
Presenter: Bradley Mayer discussed the proposed BAAS programs, specifically the BAAS with an emphasis in Criminal Justice.
This will be a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences (BAAS) degree.
Regarding all BAAS - The emphasis will not appear on the diploma, and will be marketed to transfer students holding an associate’s degree.
Input from Criminal Justice:
Sanaz Alasti (Criminal Justice) spoke about the BAAS, BS, and BA pathways.
The Criminal Justice Department is supportive of all three programs.
David Short raised the question of whether the department has sufficient faculty to cover the necessary courses for each program.
Sanaz Alasti responded that faculty coverage should not be a problem.
Motion (Lucy Tsado): Approve the following programs:
BAAS in Applied Criminal Justice Studies
BAAS in Applied Marketing
BAAS in Data Analytics

Did Not Pass:
BAAS in Human Resources and Employee Relations – sent back.
Issue: MGMT 3310 requires MGMT 3300 as a prerequisite, which is not on the degree plan.

Issue: MATH 2320 is not on the degree plan.
