Call to Order: 3:40 pm

Approval of Minutes:

  • Motion to approve the past meeting minutes was called by Garrick. Jon Gossage moved the motion, Sujing seconded the motion, and the motion passed unanimously.

Business:   

Review of Course changes:

DANC 4360 Dance pedagogy:

  • Casey asked about certification. Shelly clarified that it is already in place.
  • A motion to approve was made by Jon Gossage and seconded by Sujing.
  • Motion passed unanimously.                                 

All of the Education courses were taken as bulk to review:

  • EDUC 2310 changed from PEDG code to EDUC. All courses are in place.
  • PDEG 3351 is now changed to EDUC 3352, to match other programs across the state.
  • Course description needs to reflect the ” PEDG” to “EDUC”.
  • Shelly added this comment on CourseLeaf.
  • Also changed the contact hours to 45.
  • EDUC 3351: Change repeatable hours to “NO”
  • Change contact hours to 45.
  • ALL EDUC courses need to be corrected for total contact hours to “45”, change repeatable to “No”.

Sujing Wang motioned to approve, with the changes included. Jon Gossage seconded the motion, and motion passed unanimously.

ENGL 3310:

  • Adam suggested making few changes,
  • Brad suggested to club the two courses to review.
  • Adam motioned to approve, Alasti seconded, and motion passed unanimously.

Math Courses:

  • Math for elementary educators: change contact hours to 45.
  • Reviewed both additions and deletions together

Sujing Wang motioned to approve all the math courses as a group. Alasti seconded and motion passed unanimously.

PHYS courses:

  • All courses reviewed as a group
  • No issues found

Gossage motioned to approve, Adam seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.

READ 4304:

  • Change to “repeatable”
  • Course change is to match course number progression in the degree plan
  • Course description, change to 4304

Gossage motioned to approve, Jane seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.

THEA 4361:

  • No issues were found.

Sujing motioned to approve, Gossage seconded, and the motion passed unanimously

Adjourn: Motion to Adjourn at 4.35 pm by Nemmers; Seconded by Sujing and was unanimously approved.
