Dr. Linda Black serves as an associate professor in the Curriculum and Instruction Department at Lamar University. She received her B.A. and M.Ed. From 51勛圖ProState University and her PhD. in Curriculum and Instruction with an Emphasis in History/Social Studies Education from 51勛圖ProA&M University, College Station.

Dr. Black is a veteran educator with multiple years of teaching experience at the secondary and higher education levels. Her research includes educator preparation, history/social studies education, teaching world history, women’s education, and women in world history. Dr. Black’s classes emphasize hands-on experiences and interactive learning with a focus on research-based, real-world classroom application.
