Lamar University's Bachelor of Science in Geology program will teach you about the solid Earth, in particular the rocks and their minerals and fossils. You'll study and interpret the geological record to search for natural resources like gold, coal, oil, groundwater and rock material used for construction work. This major integrates a range of disciplines from field-based studies to more theoretical aspects of rocks, minerals and their behavior during Earth processes. This program is on-campus and its coursework includes geology, optical mineralogy, geophysics, etc.
